I dance Tango and love the dance… Tango is a complex, seductive and alluring partner dance. It originated circa 1880 in Argentina and Uruguay.
The woman, although she appears to be the focus point, is not. Tango is all about the man. He as a dancer controls the woman’s every move. As a spectator you observe the woman’s body from behind as she is being guided in reverse by the man. The back of the woman is mostly what you see, the style of their hair, dress and shoes are in the spotlight.

One of my Tango partners said you must love the music in order to be passionate about Tango. I’ve also added music for you to choose from.
There are many styles of Tango dancing, a few are American and International Ballroom Tango, Contact Tango, Salon Tango, Fantasia also known as Show Tango, but Argentine Tango is the real authentic Tango.
A few movies with memorable Tango dance scenes are Scent of a Woman (1992), Moulin Rouge (2001), Assassination Tango (2002), Shall We Dance (2004), Take the lead (2006), Easy Virtue (2008), and Fading Gigolo (2013).
