Words

Over the last three decades I’ve been asked many times why I became a hair & make-up artist and what inspired me. The truth is that my inspiration and creativity came from my late-mother. She was talented, dramatic and glamorous, and looked like a combination of Zsa Zsa Gabor, and Princess Grace.

When I was a child she was my inspiration and role model. To me she was a movie star with her beautiful gowns and jewels. In real life she had a passion for music and was a soprano opera signer. Inside her room she dressed in was her make-up vanity were she sat with all her beauty products centered around a large tri-fold illuminated mirror. Fascinated, I would stare at her while she dressed and adorned herself. Mesmerized in awe, I wanted nothing more than to grow up to be beautiful like her, and do what she could do to herself, to other women.

My life’s fate and future was shaped by cosmetology school, the big names in beauty industry and the Fashion Institute in NYC. Today, I’m here creating images of alluring glamour and high style fashion. Each client I transform, on some level I pay homage to my darling late-mother.

My creative passion has grown with each passing year. Consequently, I have become a beauty addict and fashionista, and I love it! So now, I am here  — to indulge you.

Educating women and salon professionals about the toxic cosmetology environment and deadly cosmetic products have become another passion of mine. The years I spent exposed daily to hair color, bleach, perms, and the assault of sprays while teaching cosmetologists in salons, or on stage as a platform artist, came with a price… Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. MCS thrust me into a freelance career outside the salon. After seeing the insiders view of the corporate beauty world, it became clear the industry was unregulated. And the personal care/beauty industry, the cancer society and FDA are in bed together. Then I saw a link between beauty products and cancer. Thus, I am an outspoken critic of the pink ribbon campaign and support Think Before You Pink. My yearning is for healthier products and environment for consumer and professionals. So, here I am always on a quest to find the safest products I can find, to use, and recommend to my client
